Ufhh.. I have just realized that this blog PR has just been dropped by Google, went down from PR4 to PR2. A friend of mine told me about the drop last night when few hours before it’s still PR4.

OK, for most webmasters PR is nothing, it’s just for amusement purpose only. However for everyone who in link building the PR toolbar is still important. It is more important for me since the PR drop will surely reduce this blog revenue quite badly, lol.

I don’t know what cause the PR drop, but the first thing that come to my mind is ’selling link and paid review’ issue. Yes, google don’t like this selling and buying link practice.

So I have to told my readers that if you want to make money from paid review and selling link then you will probably have to deal with PR drop. I will have to put ‘probably’ here since my other 2 blogs where I also do paid review and selling link don’t face this PR drop issue.

The good news is, the PR drop on this blog doesn’t affect my traffic. It can be seen from the alexa ranking. It is in 600K yesterday and now it’s on 500K range. I know that alexa is just ‘another not important ranking’ for most webmasters. However I’m still glad the alexa rank is getting better.

So, anyone of you also face this PR update?

Yes, the PR update (drop) is real. I’m sure it’s just a minor update from Google since my other blogs PR don’t change.

Ok ..cool! so do u have any idea if there is any update by this month end? coz am thinking of buying another pr domain.. i don’t want it to lunge down straight away.

There’s no exact date when the PR will be updated, however many people believe the major PR update will be around the end of October or so. Again, no one sure about it :)

However, if you plan to buy PR domain I don’t think you have to really worry about it, since you can still build some more links to it to avoid the PR drop or even increase it.
