To update my last post about verifying a Paypal account with VCC or virtual credit card, I have tried to accept payment to that paypal account, I sent a small money from my other PP account, and then I withdraw money from that account into my bank.

All are done successfully without any problems so far. However I still have to wait to see if this account is still verified when the virtual credit card expired. The VCC card will be expired after 3 months since I bought it.

Some people said that the Paypal account will be limited and need a new card when the VCC is expired. But other people said that they never need to input another new card after the first vcc card is expired since their paypal account is remain active.

I don’t have any experience about it, so my best bet is waiting for my own experiment. But so far, there’s no problem with that account after some activities I made with it.

Yesterday one of my blog can’t be accessed due to the crappy web hosting service I use is down, and it’s still down until I write this post. Soon I switched the web hosting into my reseller zoom reseller account, I only need to change the domain DNS pointed to my reseller account dns. Not a big problem and only need few minutes to change the host.

The real problem is recovering all of my blog posts. This is my mistake actually since I don’t make offline backup lately and only back it up online and stored it at the same webhosting. Fortunately, I still have the offline back up I made on July, so I can restore the database and posts though not all of them.

The good news is, all of my August post are still can be recovered with the help of google cache. I type this into google search box: cache:http://mydomain.com and google shows all of my August posts. Thanks God the blog is cached entirely in Google. All I need to do is just copy paste the posts from Google cache result.

My blog is live now, with no post left out.

Note to self:

No more crappy hosting account. There’s no problem if you want to use cheap hosting plan, just make sure it come from a reputable hosting service.

My reseller account at reseller zoom is not expensive, but it is very reliable. I never had any problems with them so far.

I’ve heard about paypal verification with a VCC (virtual credit card) since last year but never tried it myself since I don’t think I need another paypal account. However this morning I can’t hold it any longer when I see someone promote his VCC to verify Paypal account. I don’t know why I want to try it

I bought the VCC for $6 and all done in minutes since I chat with the seller on Yahoo messenger, I got a 16 digit card number along with the expiration date and the CVV number.

I signed up on Paypal and submited the card number given as my credit card to verify my paypal account. When it’s done, the VCC seller -who hang out on the YM chat- gave me the 4 digit expuse number to verify. And viola, my paypal account is verified. All done under 5 minutes total.

I don’t know whether it’s allowed by Paypal or not to verify our account with a virtual credit card but it works. I don’t use the paypal account, nor have any plan to use it, and I’m not sure whether the payal account will remain verified, or Paypal will limit my account, etc.

I probably should make a further test like accepting small payment trough that PP account. I might try it later just to test whether it’s legit and save to do any transaction with a paypal account verified with a VCC, and see whether PP will limit the account or not, or other problems.

Today when I loged in into my email I received a very surprising message that I’m waiting for seveal days. A payment confirmation from SEDO parking service.
